OPEN DOOR DAY OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR WITH FOCUS ON SECURITY IN TRAFFIC AND SOCIAL NETWORKS

Today, in Banja Luka, the Administration for Police Education of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior organized the Open Door Day, and thus activities of marking 4 April, the Republic of Srpska Police Day, have begun.

            The Open Door Day is organized with the aim of introducing pupils from ‘Bambi’ Preschool, students from primary schools ‘Miloš Crnjanski’ and ’Stanko Rakita’, and students from High Economic School in Banja Luka, to the manner of police education and training, police operations and tasks, and as well as the equipment used by police officers.

            The Head of Administration, Mr. Mile Šikman, said that the polygon was organized in order to help the youngest to learn more about the safe participation in traffic. In addition, lectures on safe use of internet and social networks were organized for students, where they learned how to protect themselves from the abuse of unscrupulous Internet users.

            Students and pupils from the kindergarten were satisfied since they had opportunity to learn more about police work, while high school students were interested in professions such as police officer and security officer.

            During the school year, through different activities, police officers educate children how to raise level of their security and how police officers may help them in that field. The Open Door Day is organized twice a year, in the Administration for Police Education.
