On the occasion of visit of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation delegation, headed by the President Valentina Matviyenko, Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior increases security measures to the highest level to ensure the visit on Tuesday, 24 April 2018 goes well.

In this respect, and as part of security measures, on Tuesday 24 April , at intervals from 11.00 to 12.00 hours, at the time of arrival of the delegation, and from 16.00 to 17.00 hours, at the time of departure of the delegation, traffic for all motor vehicles will be banned from the Banja Luka International Airport in Mahovljani to Banja Luka, including: a section of the strategic road Laktaši – Gradiška, from  the International Airport exit to Aleksandrovac, from Aleksandrovac to Aleksandrovac interchange, a  section of the motorway E661 (Gradiška --  Banja Luka ), from Aleksandrovac interchange to Klašnice, high-speed road, western transit (Krajiških Brigada) - Ranka Šipke - Vuka Karadzića – Kralja Petra I Karađorđevića - Bana Dr. Todora Lazarevića.  

Additionally, other road users - including cyclists and pedestrians - will be limited in moving along the route at the mentioned time intervals. We appeal to citizens not to park cars along this route.

We advise citizens that they avoid using the route and going the city centre on Tuesday because a large number of city roads will be closed for traffic and movement of pedestrians will be limited. 

We appeal to all citizens to abide by the instructions of the Ministry and other institutions participating in the organization of the visit of the Russian delegation.

Citizens are advised that they strictly respect orders of the police officers, avoid wearing backpacks and bags and make sure to have some identification document. Citizens are also advised to avoid opening windows, going to the terraces, balconies, roofs of buildings, and the like.

To all representatives of media companies, other subjects and citizens: the use of drones is prohibited in the area of ​​the movement and in the Banja Luka city centre.

At the same time, representatives of the media who are accredited to monitor all events organised on the occasion of the visit of the Russian delegation should have clearly visible accreditation.

Representatives of the media are obliged to respect the orders of police officers on the ground.
