The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Commission for Suppression of Drug Abuse in the Republic of Srpska, and competent ministries and other institutions and authorities, marks the World Drug Day.
On this occasion, the police officers will distribute leaflets carrying the slogan Pogledaj iza maske/Take a look behind the cover reminding the citizens on the harmful effects of narcotics to health and security of the community. The leaflets will be distributed at information desks placed in the center of the cities in RS.
We would also like to remind the public on the operations previously carried out by the RS MoI, such as: Sava, Golf, Petrićevac, Piramida/Pyramid, Romeo, Avatar, Kafe/Café, Kamel/Camel, Ekspert/Expert, Nasljednik/Heir and Arsenal, that resulted in seizure of significant amounts of different types of narcotics and arrest and prosecution of several persons.
During the first five months of 2018, the police officers seized the total of: 30,033.88g of marijuana, 462.4g of heroine, 1,335.39g of cocaine, 431.347g of amphetamine-speed and 95.5 pieces of ecstasy.
During 2017, the seized amounts on the territory of the Republic of Srpska were 177,900.676g of marijuana, 2,013.5461g of heroine, 1,747.489g of cocaine, 1,914.403g and 1 piece of amphetamine-speed and 209 pieces and 247.3g of ecstasy.
The police officers undertake preventive and repressive measures in terms of registering and punishing criminal and minor offences in this area during their everyday assignments and duties.
