       The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior celebrated today the slava of Saint Archangel Michael, and on that occasion His Grace Jefrem, Bishop of Banja Luka, consecrated the Memorial Church of Saint Archangel Michael, following the Holy and Memorial Service to the fallen members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
      The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukac, expressed his content that the Church of Saint Archangel Michael was consecrated on the date of the RS MoI slava, since they bear the name of the same Patron Saint. Minister Lukac added that this church was dedicated to the all heroes who lost their lives in the past war. He also stated that this temple was one of a kind, because its walls, apart from icons, also contain engraved names and surnames of all the fallen members of the RS MoI.
      The Republic of Srpska President, Ms Zeljka Cvijanovic, said it was important for all the institutions to do their work and to provide all the requirements necessary for the work of the members of the Ministry of the Interior.
      The Republic of Srpska Prime Minister, Mr Radovan Viskovic, congratulated slava to all the members of the Ministry, adding that the Republic of Srpska considers the RS MoI one of the pillars of its sovereignty and the security of citizens.
Some of the guests at the consecration of the Memorial Church included the RS Police Director, Mr Darko Culum, ministers in the RS Government, members of the National Assembly, the Mayor of Banja Luka, Mr Igor Radojicic, as well as numerous members of the RS MoI, and the representatives of police agencies from Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro.
