The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, visited today the municipality of Kozarska Dubica. During the meetings held with the chiefs of Kozarska Dubica Police Stations and the Municipality Mayor, Mr Radenko Reljić, it was concluded that the security situation in this municipality was favourable.

Minister Lukač announced that the reconstruction of the building of Kozarska Dubica Police Station would start the following year, emphasizing that the building was still owned by the municipality and that they would transfer the ownership to the Ministry of the Interior. He stated that the funds for the reconstruction of the Police Station would be planned in the 2023 budget.

Minister Lukač said that the municipality currently disposed of a small number of surveillance cameras and that the Mayor had already allocated certain funds for the procurement of new ones. The Minister stated that the public procurement would be conducted in accordance with the technical specifications of the RS MoI engineers and that this would bring significant improvement of the video surveillance system on the territory of Dubica.

The Municipality Mayor said that they also discussed the security situation on the level of the local community and Prijedor Police Administration. He confirmed that the Municipality Assembly would bring the decision on transferring ownership of the Kozarska Dubica Police Station building as soon as possible.
